The highlight of my meeting driven week, as well as, the highlight of my blogging experience thus far has been the Corporate Blogging 101 IABC Luncheon/Seminar this past Tuesday (27 June) in San Antonio. I finally got to put faces with names I have met over the blogosphere. I think my only words the entire day were cool, awesome and neat. Not sure if I conveyed professional depth!
Kami Huyse (Communication Overtones) took time out of her busy schedule to pick me up from the airport. Then, over the most perfect cup of tea we talked about our entries into the blogosphere. Kami is down-to-earth and fantastic person overall...little does she know, Kami helped me do some growing up...more of that later.
Off to the luncheon we went. I won't rewrite the insights her and Alan (co-presenter) discussed because Kami has created a purpose-built del.icio.us page (read more in her Corporate Blogging 101 post). You can also download Alan's presentation via his blog. Kami and Alan made a perfect team.
Boy, Alan is a funny and incredibly sweet guy...even though I was not the most tactful in my response to one of his posts. He did not give me too hard of a time...I apologized. Hope Alan knows it is sincere. Alan included great examples of corporate blogging uses and his ventures - be sure to check it out and see how theory becomes reality.
Thank you, Kami for the print and warm welcome...and to Alan for shaking my hand!
