I have a concern for the potential of the conversation to turn divisive and derogatory. I recently participated in what was described as a "technology in politics" discussion, but it quickly slipped into a witch hunt, with the moderator injecting his pro-life, pro-war, religious zealotry into what was supposed to be a civil forum.

I offer what I have already built as a baseline to start from:

Will it be a "majority rules" hate fest, using social media as an excuse to to talk down to people? Will our budding Fort Worth chapter of the Social Media Club self destruct because we have chosen to behave in an anti-social way?

Good points. I want to make very clear that we will only discuss theory and how sco med being used...not personal opinion. I will interject when going off track. Hopefully, we can all be respectful of each others thoughts and opinions.

I am asking questions presented in post by Jeremiah: http://www.web-strategist.com/blog/2008/09/03/social-marketing-from-democrats-and-republicans/
